Salewa get vertical
Win online an adventure in the mountains
Salewa, BMW, Tourism Australia. These three global brands have organized a competition together, where the winners will benefit from a mountain experience or an adventure in Australia. Particularly now, the first winners set out for their adventures. And we have implemented the impressive online competition for our client on the web.
The project – a challenge
In order to address as many participants as possible, we have implemented an emotionally appealing and responsive website, getvertical.salewa.com. The website complies with the Salewa CI and informs the user about the attractive prizes. Large emotional pictures lead the participant to AltaBadia, to the Zugspitze Arena, to Chamonix, to Grindelwald and even to Australia. This is where the real adventure begins.
The competition
The competition participant had to choose between two experiences: a climbing experience or a Via Ferrata - moreover he could decide between different locations, depending on the experience he chose. After entering the own difficulty level, the participant had to answer some questions and to upload a picture of his own GetVertical interpretation. Finally, the winners were selected by a jury.
The prizes
Among all of the participants are being raffled SALEWA products from the spring collection and BMW-test drives. Furthermore the winners have the possibility to participate in one of four basecamps in the Alps. Finally the top prize: five discovery journeys to Australia.
The data
Salewa, BMW and Tourism Australia have a clear objective of the competition: to collect new contacts and to increase their visibility. Hence, the projects key aspect is the data management. After user consent, all collected data are saved in CRM Pilot, a development of Zeppelin. The CRM Pilot offers many possibilities. Thus, for example, you can edit, filter and group data and then export them to various formats.
The characteristics
The internationality of the competition is also mirrored by the website which we realized in five different languages: German, Italian, English, French and Spanish. The website disposes of menus on both screen borders which ensure a simple an intuitive usability: the menu items on the left show the prize and reflect the emotional part of the website. In contrast, the menu items on the right express the more rational and institutional contents.
Social Media for more visibility
Social media are a good tool to enhance the competitions visibility. Thus, through the integration of Facebook and Twitter, we gave each participant the possibility to share his experience with his friends.
