A new website has recently entered the digital world. The Vitalpina Hotel Pfösl in Nova Ponente has relaunched its website and now showcases itself with simple elegance, lots of emotion and many eye-catching features. We gave free rein to our curiosity and asked three of the many relaunch helpers a few questions about the project: Host Brigitte Zelger, consultant Liliana and screen designer Anja.
Brigitte, let’s get straight to the big question: Why did you want to relaunch your website?
Our last website had been online for almost 10 years. It actually worked very well, but the menu structure and display were sadly looking a little tired.
Liliana, you’re a client advisor. Do you always advise relaunching websites regularly?Liliana:
If you want to stay current, I would say it’s necessary. While it’s important to adapt to trends, it’s not the only thing you need to be doing. What you should be looking at is advancing technology, new requirements, features, etc., things that make designing and implementing a new website exciting. It’s even better when customers are pleased with the fresh look.
Were there other goals besides updating?Liliana:
Transporting the values, visions and uniqueness of a company into the digital world and staging it emotionally is always one of the main goals. Increasing the conversion rate is also an important aspect, of course.
Brigitte also wanted the website to be cleaner. The last one was full of content and a lot of it was outdated. That made a ‘tidy-up’ necessary. The latest website also looks very clean, tidy and well-structured thanks to the new colour design.
Anja, you’re a screen designer and know that ‘tidying up’ and slimming down is many people’s goal. How can this be achieved and what can a new website do without?Anja
: Websites are often supplemented with content and often end up being overloaded. The excess of content leads to users feeling overwhelmed and leaving the website again. If you want to say everything at once, you end up saying nothing.
The aim is to present content and functions in a simple, direct way by detracting from the main content as little as possible. Less is actually more in this instance! The feeling of lightness and tranquillity that guests feel in the hotel must also be conveyed on the website. And this is achieved with structured content, warm, bright colours and emotional images.
Can you tell us some of the highlights of the new website?Anja
: Apart from the simple, elegant design, the room comparison is definitely a highlight of the website. A wide range of room categories can make the choice difficult for the guest. By comparing rooms, he can compare up to three rooms and quickly and easily find the right one. Click points also help to emphasise the special features of the rooms and make it clear what distinguishes one from the other.
Our ReGuest Messenger will also be integrated into the website soon. This will be the last step into the age of personalisation and marketing automation.
Liliana, is your job done with the launch of the website?Liliana
: No, our cooperation does not end with the online launch of the website, of course. It’s still very important to keep it up-to-date. Our ‘Page Builder’, which is also available for the new Hotel Pfösl website now, gives customers a high degree of freedom when it comes to editing and designing their own website. Hotel Pfösl works very hard on the website, updates the content continuously and adds new content. Now they can easily work on the website themselves and, of course, we always stay on hand if they need support or help when the going gets tough. 😉
Brigitte, all in all, would you give the project a thumbs up?Brigitte Zelger:
Of course, I know that with Zeppelin I am always in good hands and have a very flexible partner.
Out of interest, do your guests also mention the new website? Brigitte Zelger
: Yes, a lot, even the old site was a very nice site and we have always received great feedback. In my opinion, it is important to only communicate what is actually to be found in the hotel.
Well, got curious? Take a look at the new Pfösl website!
